External Surgical Silicone Drainage System, with closed circuit to the environment and anti-reflux valve on drainage catheter.
Available in two models: Hemadrain-R with suction reservoir in silicone and HemaDrain-B with collection bag for gravitational drainage.
It is especially indicated in neurosurgery prevention of after surgery pneumocephalus in acute or chronic subdural hematomas.
Components
1 – Needle free access
- For removal the remaining air at the drainage site and flush the system, in case of tube obstruction per clot
2 – Unidirectional Valve
- Preventes pneumocephalus and infections caused by reflux of the drained liquid
3 – Collecting Port
- For bag emptying without using needle, preventing leaks and contamination
Drain and Introducer
1 – Curved Introducer
- In stainless steel with carefully sharpened edge and perfect diameter for the drain passage
2 – Silicone Drain
- Multiperforated round catheter with radiopaque line. Allows the hematoma lavage and its subsequent drainage
Reservoir in Silicone
With 200 or 100 ml, appropriate for suction drainage. Specially indicated for subdural collections as hematomas, hygromas or empyemas
Drainage Bag
With 700 ml, appropriate for gravitational drainage Specially indicated for subdural collections as hematomas, hygromas or empyemas
